Romania has 5 new local tourist resorts

According to a Government decision, Romania will have 5 new tourist resorts of local interest.

The five new tourist resorts of local interest are:

  • Băile Figa leisure area – Beclean town, Bistrita-Năsăud county;
  • Frumosu commune, Suceava county;
  • Mălini commune, Suceava county;
  • Salonta municipality, Bihor county;
  • Săcueni town, Bihor county.

The certified localities will thus have better chances of attracting non-reimbursable funding, given that some funding programs require certification as a tourist resort.

Localities or parts of localities that possess natural and anthropic resources and meet the legal certification criteria can be certified as tourist resorts of national and local interest following requests and documentation submitted by local public administration authorities.
