Romania expects an increase in the number of tourists from Israel

After the Romanian market was dominated by tourists from Germany in recent years, starting next year, the most tourists could come from Israel, after the number of Israeli tourists increased by 60% last year, to nearly 220,000 people, ranking second among the countries bringing tourists to the local market.
The President of the National Authority for Tourism, ANT, Anca Pavel Nedea, attributes this evolution to the historical relations between Romania and Israel, the promotion of the local market, and the launch of more charter flights.
In fact, the number of Israelis visiting Romania has increased significantly in recent years, from 96,600 in 2013 to 139,400 in 2015 and nearly 220,000 in 2015.
The ANT President specified that Israeli tourists enjoy nightlife, casinos, the seaside, the Danube Delta, and Transylvania.
The head of ANT also expects significant increases in the number of tourists from Russia and China in the coming years.
On February 9-10, the International Mediterranean Tourism Market, IMTM, took place in Tel Aviv, with Romania present with a stand where 22 companies, associations, and county councils exhibited.
