Given the constant growth in demand on the Bucharest hotel market by at least 10% annually, the owner of Residence Hotels, Cristi Penescu, has decided to expand the accommodation service offering. Thus, Teodor Birsa, the network’s development manager, stated that work to increase the number of rooms to 100 will soon begin in the two units near the Arch of Triumph, Residence Arc de Triomphe and Residence Domenii Plaza.
Residence Arc de Triomphe Hotel is classified as 3-star superior and has 33 rooms. It was inaugurated in 2002, being the first boutique hotel in Romania. Residence Domenii Plaza has 35 rooms and is classified as 4-star. The accommodation unit was opened in 2007.
At the same time, the owner intends to select a new management company to operate the two hotels and the two restaurants within them, Citroniers and Oliviers, each with 200 seats.
Residence Hotel owns two hotels in Bucharest near the Arch of Triumph, as well as the La Conac accommodation complex in northern Bucharest, in addition to the Les Mandariniers resort located on the French Riviera in Hyeres.
Residence Hotels is the first 4-star boutique hotel chain in Romania, being among the first members of the BLLA (Boutique and Lifestyle Lodging Association), the only boutique hotel association in the world, headquartered in Los Angeles.
