Registrations for the “DiscoverEU” Program Have Started

450 18-year-olds from Romania have the opportunity to travel for free by train in the European Union starting next year through the “DiscoverEU” program, now in its second edition. Registrations for the program take place between November 29 and December 11, 2018.
The “DiscoverEU” program was launched this year following a €12 million funding from the 2018 EU Budget. In the first edition of this project, 15,000 young people from Europe, including nearly 600 from Romania, traveled for free by train this summer in EU member states.
Young people who are 18 years old as of December 31, 2018 (meaning they are born between January 1, 2000, and December 31, 2000, inclusive) and who hold the citizenship of one of the European Union member states can register for the “DiscoverEU” Program. The 12,000 winners will benefit from a free train ticket for up to 30 days with which they can travel in the European Union between April 15 and October 31, 2019.
