Real estate developer Willbrook, indirectly controlled by Israeli billionaire Eyal Ofer, is preparing the development of a 4-star hotel with approximately 100 rooms near the Willbrook Platinum Business and Convention Center in northern Bucharest.

The future Willbrook hotel will have 5 floors, and the development will involve an investment of over EUR 42 million, according to calculations by Profit.ro. The developer has not yet affiliated the hotel with a brand.

Willbrook’s business is managed by Shimon Galon, one of the most well-known managers in the real estate sector, who led the local operations of Globe Trade Centre (GTC) for 15 years.

In Romania, the Ofer family has invested over EUR 500 million in a portfolio of 10,000 hectares of land located in Bucharest, Constanta, Brasov, and Timisoara, as well as in the Cathedral Plaza and Platinum Business Center office buildings, the Oxford Gardens luxury residential complex, and the Teleferic Hotel in Poiana Brasov.
