Radisson Individuals: first landing in Romania in Timisoara

Radisson Hotel Group will bring the Radisson Individuals brand to Romania with the opening of Galaxy Hotel Timisoara in the first quarter of 2026. The project, financed by entrepreneur Lucian Popa, involves an investment of over EUR 10 million.

The new establishment will have 48 rooms and suites, including three premium rooms for long-term stays. The hotel will include lobby bar with terrace, all-day dining restaurant and event spaces: boardroom, modular lounge and pre-event area.

The entry of Radisson Individuals marks the group’s expansion in Central and Eastern Europe and brings the Radisson portfolio in Romania to 10 properties, along with units in Bucharest, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca and future projects such as the Radisson RED Bucharest Old Town or the Radisson Blu Grand Mountain Resort near Brasov.

Lucian Popa said that the partnership with Radisson brings “an international standard of quality” to the local market, targeting both the corporate and leisure segments. In his turn, Mircea Drăghici, CEO EST Hospitality, emphasized the role of the investment in strengthening Timisoara as a destination for tourism and business.

David Jenkins, the group’s VP Business Development, said that Romania offers “some of the most attractive growth opportunities in the region”, and Radisson Individuals’ model, based on flexibility and quick conversions, allows for adaptation to the specific local market.

Radisson Hotel Group operates more than 1,580 hotels globally in EMEA and APAC, and has committed to Net Zero by 2050.
