Radisson Hotel Group expands with four hotels in Romania

Radisson Hotel Group continues its expansion in Romania with a series of new developments.

One notable addition is the recently signed Radisson RED Bucharest Old Town. This innovative project involves the transformation of a 1940s office building that historically served as the offices for the Institute of Hydroelectric Studies. The building will be completely renovated and repurposed to offer 104 guest rooms in the historic Old Town area, combining modern amenities with historic charm. Radisson RED Bucharest Old Town will be the first Radisson RED property in the country and the Group’s fourth hotel in Bucharest, a key city for the Group’s growth. The hotel will feature a restaurant and bar, a lobby with a co-working lounge and outdoor terrace, and versatile meeting spaces. The 100 m² multi-purpose room and a pop-up space on the fifth floor will host meetings, events, product launches and social events.

Further enriching the diversified offer in the region, Radisson Hotel Group presents the Radisson Blu Grand Mountain Resort, Brasov, scheduled to open in early 2027. The resort will offer a wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing and mountain biking, making it a year-round destination for travelers who want to experience Romania’s natural beauty.

In addition, the Radisson Blu Resort & Residences, Mamaia, will open in 2028. Located on the Black Sea coast, this project will feature 234 hotel rooms and 102 residences. Guests will enjoy rooms with panoramic sea views, a lobby bar and restaurant with a terrace and an outdoor pool bar. Features include a 500m² spa and fitness center. The property will include presidential suites with large terraces and spacious duplex apartments.

Radisson Lagoon Hotel Bucharest will be located in Bucharest’s central neighborhood, Lagoon City. This luxury urban resort-style hotel will have 323 rooms, a spa center, a 1,100 square meter sandy beach and access to a 10,000 square meter lagoon. Guests will enjoy rooms with panoramic lagoon views. The resort will also offer a wellness center and several swimming pools.

Radisson Hotel Group’s current portfolio in Romania includes several prestigious properties that have achieved significant recognition.
