During this global crisis, Qatar Airways has become the world’s largest international operator, contributing to the repatriation of over 2 million people and accumulating unrivaled experience in safe passenger transport, stated Ferit Aksun, Qatar Airways Country Manager, Eastern Europe South.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, Qatar Airways’ operational network has never dropped below 30 destinations, with permanent flights on five continents.

Qatar Airways has implemented the most advanced safety and hygiene measures, including becoming the first airline to require passengers to wear face shields in addition to other face coverings.

Qatar Airways’ base and hub at Hamad International Airport have implemented a series of very strict cleaning procedures and applied social distancing measures across all its terminals. Passenger interaction areas are disinfected every 10-15 minutes, and boarding gates and bus pick-up stations are sanitized after every flight.
