PR Sud-Vest Oltenia: Call for rural tourism development launched
The Regional Development Agency (RDA) South-West Oltenia, as Managing Authority for the Regional Program (RP) South-West Oltenia 2021-2027, launched today, September 3, 2025, the call for projects “Support for tourism development in rural areas”, dedicated to rural tourist resorts.
Eligible applicants are:
- Administrative-territorial unit commune with the status of tourist resort;
- County administrative-territorial unit;
- Partnerships concluded between the U.A.T commune with the status of tourist resort, as partnership leader and U.A.T county, as partner;
- Partnerships concluded between the municipality U.A.T., as a leader of the partnership and the central public administration authority, which has in public/private ownership or in administration real estates in the municipalities – tourist resorts;
- Partnerships concluded between U.A.T communes – tourist resorts.
The financial allocation of the call is EUR 17,647,059.
The minimum eligible amount of a project is EUR 500 000 and the maximum eligible amount of a project is EUR 4 million:
- Development of natural tourist objectives of public utility and creation/ modernization of related infrastructures of public utility;
- Creating and expanding public recreational infrastructure, including related utilities (e.g. facilities for recreation/leisure on landscaped outdoor grounds – special areas for sports, play and adventure playgrounds, fitness areas for the elderly, etc., all with free and open access;
- Creation/rehabilitation of public spaces, pedestrian areas, cycle paths, sidewalks, development of sustainable cycling infrastructure (signposted routes, rest stops, information boards), with direct impact on rural tourist attractiveness;
- Creation/rehabilitation/modernization/landscaping of green spaces (including related utilities) and provision of street furniture.
