Pavăl brothers develop a major new project

Dragoș and Adrian Pavăl, the founders of Dedeman, announce the launch of a large-scale real estate project in Bacău, on a plot of approximately 70,000 square meters, located in the Serbănești neighborhood. The investment, estimated at EUR 10 million, will include an essential component, the construction of a modern 10-storey hotel, an integral part of the future Dedeman Campus complex.

Situated on the banks of the Bistrița River, the project aims to transform the area and proposes a mixed concept:

  • 10-story hotel with modern facilities for tourists and business segment;
  • Two 8-story office buildings, each with commercial space on the ground floor;
  • Four 11-storey residential blocks;
  • A shopping center;
  • Recreation areas, green spaces, fountains and a seasonal ice rink;
  • Health and sports facilities.

The access to the complex will be through the Serbănești bridge, from Unirii Boulevard.

In order to realize the project, the Pavăl brothers intend to acquire several plots of land in the area, and the City Hall of Bacău, led by the mayor Lucian-Daniel Stanciu-Viziteu, has already auctioned two plots of land of 1,000 square meters each, at a starting price of 103 EUR/ sqm, in response to the interest shown by investors.

In parallel with the investment in Bacau, the Pavăl brothers continue to expand their real estate portfolio. At the end of March, they acquired a plot of land in Giurgiu, worth EUR 2.95 million. The transaction was carried out with Pâris Mouratoglou (father of tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou) and Ion Maticiuc (father of actor Codin Maticiuc).

The move is part of a broad national development strategy in which the hotel component is becoming increasingly important.

Pâris Mouratoglou is already a significant presence in Romania’s hospitality sector, owning 40% of the Caro hotel chain, which includes a four-star hotel in the Barbu Văcărescu area of Bucharest with extensive facilities: 184 rooms, 5 hectares of green spaces, restaurants, event rooms, electric charging stations and generous parking.
