This year, the top five spots are held by the airports in Bucharest – 2.59 million passengers recorded in Q1, Cluj-Napoca – 517,000 passengers, Timisoara – 355,000 passengers, Iasi – 232,000 passengers, and Sibiu – 96,000 passengers.
The ranking is completed by Bacau – 87,000 passengers, Craiova – 67,000 passengers, Suceava – 29,000 passengers, Oradea – 18,000 passengers, and Constanta – 12,000 passengers.
In 2016, the Romanian airports that recorded the highest percentage of passenger traffic growth were Suceava with 2,300%, Oradea with 400%, and Tulcea with 200%.
