Paralela 45 Could Merge with Invitation Romania

The travel agency Paralela 45, controlled by Alin Burcea, may merge with Invitation Romania, owned by Gheorghe Fodoreanu, one of the main Romanian tour operators specialized in incoming tourism—specifically, bringing foreign tourists to the country. Contacted by Profit.ro, the two did not deny the information.
Two weeks ago, Alin Burcea, the owner of Paralela 45, announced that he might merge with an incoming company, stating that he could not provide more details. However, tourism market sources believe it is Invitation Romania, owned by Gheorghe Fodoreanu.
Contacted by Profit.ro, Burcea did not wish to comment on the information without denying it, while Fodoreanu limited himself to speaking about the fact that, globally, tourism companies are beginning to associate.
In the medium term, the owner of Paralela 45 does not exclude a sale of the business.
Gheorghe Fodoreanu is one of the oldest and most respected tourism professionals in Romania, and his agency, founded in 2006 with annual business of approximately 4 million EUR, is among the top largest tour operators specialized in incoming tourism, bringing tourists to Romania from all over the world, especially from Asia, Germany, France, Belgium, England, and Spain.
Paralela 45 was launched immediately after the Revolution, in 1990, and cumulatively, in its 30 years of activity, the company has recorded sales of 1 billion EUR, Burcea estimates.
