In the first nine months of this year, the Paralela 45 travel agency recorded a 22% increase in sales volume, with the number of tourists choosing to travel through the company increasing by 17%. The agency estimates that, by the end of the year, turnover will reach the €50 million threshold.
The results obtained by the agency are due, as its representatives explain, to the communication and sales strategy oriented towards the online environment, as well as the variety of tourism products and destinations in the portfolio.
In the top preferences for 2017, by share of the number of tourists, were Greece – 45%, Spain – 24%, Turkey – 20%, and Cyprus – 5%, with the ranking concluded by Italy, Portugal, and Croatia.
Regarding the evolution of tourist circuits, the growth in sales volumes recorded by Paralela 45 in 2017 is 34%. The largest increases, in terms of tourist numbers, were recorded on circuits in Russia, Portugal, Israel, Italy, Spain, Greece, and the Nordic countries. However, an important contribution was also made by exotic circuits in countries such as Morocco, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Egypt, and Cuba.
Bulgaria and domestic tourism, especially towards seaside destinations, but also mountain and spa resorts, grew by 32%, being highly requested by tourists, especially during early booking periods.
The Paralela 45 travel agency wants to inaugurate charter flights next summer to Alanya, Samos in Greece and, in an absolute premiere, Albania, and aims to launch several online projects by the end of this year.
This year, Paralela 45 inaugurated four new agencies in Bucharest, Brasov, Arad, and Bacau, concurrently with accepting new franchises into the agency’s network in Bucharest (2 agencies) and Sf. Gheorghe, thus bringing the number of points of sale to 43.
This year, the agency developed a series of projects in the online environment, which are to be launched by the end of the year, a fact that will generate, in the opinion of the agency’s owner, Alin Burcea, an important contribution to next year’s turnover.
