On the occasion of the long weekend at the end of November, marking Romania’s National Day, Romanians’ interest in traveling through European countries is higher than in 2016. According to momondo.ro data, the most searched destinations for the December 1st mini-break are Italy, Spain, and Germany.
At the same time, compared to last year for the same period, flight prices to these destinations differ considerably.
At the top of the most searched destinations for the period November 29 – December 3, 2017, is Italy, with an 89% increase compared to last year, Rome being the main attraction. In second place is Spain with a 95% increase, and especially Barcelona, which recorded a 93% increase. The next place in searches is occupied by Austria with a 91% increase, Vienna recording a 95% increase.
Germany remains an attractive and accessible destination for Romanian travelers, regardless of the season, and for the beginning of December, flight searches increased by 62% compared to 2016 and by 44% for the capital, Berlin.
