Oradea Hospitality Management Academy Inaugurated

On September 19, the first vocational hospitality education center, the Oradea Hospitality Management Academy, was inaugurated. It was established in Romania by the winsedswiss education group under the license of the famous Lausanne Hotel School (VET by EHL).

Named Oradea Hospitality Management Academy (OHMA), the school will train 20 students starting this year, aged between 16 and 45, from several cities across the country. They are enrolled in two programs—Culinary and Hotel Administration—preparing to become future experts in hotel management and public catering. Courses will be held in English, but according to Ruxandra Balica, the VET by EHL coordinator in Romania and OHMA school coordinator, students will be able to improve their English skills and receive a certificate from the British Council.

OHMA will train future hospitality industry employees across four training programs: Culinary, Service, Front Office, and Hotel Administration. Each program has three independent modules (Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced), each lasting six months. Teachers will be specialists in their respective fields, accredited by the Lausanne educational institution. Each module includes three months of theory and applications and three months of practice in a partner hotel/restaurant.

Through a partnership with Oradea City Hall, prices start from EUR 1,200, and for three modules, they can reach EUR 5,900.

OHMA graduates will receive level 4 and 5 qualification diplomas, recognized by the Ministry of Education and Research.
