An airline is launching direct flights from Chișinău to a new destination in Europe

An airline has launched direct flights to a new destination in Europe. Thus, citizens will be able to fly from Chișinău to the city of Naples in Italy.

The flights will be operated twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday. In this way, Chișinău International Airport is expanding its flight network.

“The launch of this route marks another step in strengthening the connections between Moldova and Italy – a destination loved by both tourists and the community of Moldovans settled there,” announced Chișinău International Airport.

In 2024, the flight schedule of Chișinău International Airport was supplemented with 14 new destinations. These are: Budapest, Cologne, Riga, Istanbul Sabiha, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Enfidha, Manchester, Prague, Abu Dhabi, Brussels Charleroi, Dortmund, Memmingen, and Nuremberg.

Furthermore, the airport administration announced at the beginning of the current year that in 2025 the flight network will be expanded with ten new destinations. These are: Bremen, Alicante, Thessaloniki, Palma de Mallorca, Katowice, Copenhagen, Lyon, Paris Orly, Turin, and Wroclaw.

Chișinău International Airport ranks among the top-performing airports in Europe in the category of 1 – 10 million passengers per year. This growth is supported by the expansion of the route network and the number of airlines, which has increased from 20 in 2022 to 33 in 2024.

Chișinău International Airport returned to state management in the spring of 2023.
