Lebanese businessman Mohammad Murad, one of the largest hotel owners in the country, is preparing to put the Majestic Hotel in the Mamaia resort up for sale at a price of at least 7.5 million EUR.
The entrepreneur wants to sell the hotel, its summer garden, and the parking lot, totaling an area of about 15,000 sqm.
Built in 1980 by architect Cezar Lăzărescu, the Majestic Mamaia Hotel is located in the center of the resort, near the Rex Hotel.
The hotel is equipped with an outdoor swimming pool and has 241 double rooms, 13 suites, and 8 family double rooms.
This would be the second hotel sold by Mohammad Murad in the last ten years.
The businessman has ongoing investments in the development of several tourist projects both on the coast and in the mountain area. Perla Majestic SA, the company managing the hotel activity, in which Mohammad Murad indirectly holds 90% of the shares, recorded a turnover of nearly 43.5 million RON last year, an increase of 27% compared to 2021, and a net profit of 17 million RON, up 30%.
