Mircești Winery has become a tourist attraction for those visiting Ungheni. Behind this winery is Arcadie Foșnea, an entrepreneur who studied in the West and now exports wine produced in Mircești to Romania, Canada, China, and Japan.

The winery’s vineyards span 15 hectares, while the tourist complex covers an area of 250 square meters. The winery offers 13 hotel rooms for tourists looking to escape to an oasis of relaxation.

To promote tourism in the region, the company benefited from financial support worth 30,000 EUR in 2021 through the “EU4Moldova: Key Regions” program, funded by the EU and implemented by the UNDP and UNICEF.

The grant obtained, along with the owner’s own contribution, was directed toward furnishing eight hotel rooms with furniture, sanitary equipment, and air conditioners.

Equipment was also purchased for the wastewater treatment plant and agricultural machinery for the vineyards. Following the implementation of the investment project, at least five new jobs were created.
