Priorities for the ministry are spa tourism and ski resorts
The government decision defining the investment threshold for tourism is currently under approval. The priority areas will be spa tourism and ski domains.
Measure 2 of the Working Capital aid scheme for SMEs is nearing completion. The total value amounts to approximately 1 billion EUR, with 3,000 beneficiaries set to receive the remaining sum of approximately 150 million EUR.
Microgrants for micro-enterprises, representing the second stage of Measure 1, are about to conclude. 25,000 applications were eligible out of the 33,000 analyzed. Of these, 11,500 have already received payments.
Thirteen programs are being prepared to support the business environment: Start-up Nation, the micro-industrialization program, now in its third edition, a program for developing trade and service activities, a program targeting incoming tourism in Romania, a program exclusively for women, a program regarding subsidized interest loans for SMEs, and a potential program to compensate for last year’s losses in the HoReCa industry, the second of its kind.
