Ministry of Tourism: Developing Spa Resorts is a Priority
The development of balneoclimateric resorts represents one of the priorities of the Ministry of Tourism. In this regard, a financing program for tourism investments has been launched.
Entire resorts are in disrepair, and health complexes remain unused, even though they were built with the help of European funds.
Although one-third of Europe’s spa resources are found in our country, private individuals consider starting a business in this field to be an arduous process.
A percentage of 90% of the total investment will be financed by the state. Funding will be granted by the Ministry of Economy only to local authorities following the submission of projects for the construction or transformation of buildings into treatment centers, for sports and leisure facilities, or for medical equipment and apparatus necessary for treatments.
As a model, there are also centers that already offer quality services, having qualified personnel in this regard. Accommodation in 3-star rooms is also offered.
A mofette set up by a local resident in his yard has been operating for 85 years.
