Mercure Conacul Cozieni opened on September 15, 2023, following a major renovation and expansion of a manor built at the beginning of the 20th century. The hotel preserves the Brâncovenesc architectural style of the old manor.
Set in the charming natural landscape surrounding the Pasărea Monastery, Pasărea Lake, and Pustnicu Forest, the hotel is an ideal destination for business and private events, relaxation, as well as outdoor activities. Located near the A2 highway, the hotel enjoys excellent accessibility from Bucharest and the metropolitan business area, and is just 30 minutes from Henri Coandă International Airport by both car and bus.
The 4-star hotel comprises a mix of 75 Superior rooms, Privilege rooms, and modern suites, artistically decorated with exceptional paintings created by the young artist Carina Rusu and mural decorations featuring stylized traditional Romanian design motifs. Elemental Herbology cosmetics, a complimentary minibar, and balconies overlooking the pool add a unique touch to the guest experience, alongside the Mercure “Great Bed for Great Dreams” concept.
The old manor was renovated and transformed into a conference space. The Podgoreanu Ballroom, with an urban industrial design and a capacity of 250 people, occupies the first floor and offers delegates access to a spacious terrace. A new modular event space, Codrii Vlăsiei, has been added to the complex. Decorated with artworks created by the young artist Isabella Stefani, the space is suitable for events of up to 250 guests. Guests will be surrounded at every turn by surprising artistic motifs and representations, such as the tree of life on the main lobby wall, created by the renowned artist Ileana Oancea.
The Elements international à la carte restaurant and bar offer diverse dishes inspired by monastic menus, local discoveries, and the elements of life—water, fire, earth, and air. The T-Cellar, with 10 seats, is the secret corner where wine reigns supreme. The hotel offers access to an outdoor pool, a fully equipped fitness room with a forest view, dry and wet saunas, and an outdoor terrace.
The generous garden surrounding the property, the outdoor parking which includes 4 charging stations for electric cars, solar panels that heat the pool water, and the recycling of bricks over a hundred years old—transformed by architects into unique decorative elements for the balconies—are all part of the hotel’s sustainability mission.
The design concept of the complex was entrusted to the Studio3 architectural team.
The hotel operates under a management contract provided by the Accor hotel chain to the Romanian company Next Hospitality, where Mihaela Iordache was appointed General Manager and the owner, Mrs. Claudia Badiu, serves as CEO.
Through the Mercure brand, Accor promises a completely new hotel experience. Each hotel has a unique style and personality, inspired by the local environment and culture.
