The GEO provides a series of regulations considered optimal for conducting beach rental auctions in a timely manner, ensuring proper organization of summer season activities and improving conditions for tourism and leisure activities.

Thus, auction deadlines will be reduced, as well as the maximum number of admissible bids required to award the auction, from two bids to one. Additionally, the rental contract term is set at two years, for the 2023-2024 summer seasons – the minimum term necessary for obtaining the new Zonal Urban Plan (PUZ) – and rental bids can be analyzed by multiple Commissions organized at the level of the National Administration “Romanian Waters” (ANAR).
