Transilvania Investments Alliance, formerly SIF Transilvania, has completed its rebranding process, and the company’s management is collaborating with a series of consultants and entrepreneurs from the tourism sector, including Dragos Anastasiu, to establish a new strategic direction.
In January of this year, the company’s shareholders decided to change the name of SIF Transilvania to Transilvania Investments Alliance. The company manages assets worth 1.4 billion RON and has a history of over 22 years on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).
„With this rebranding, we want to ensure that investment opportunities do not pass us by. We want to develop the Private Equity and Venture Capital portfolio. We also want to re-analyze and develop the tourism portfolio. We recently signed a contract with a consortium to see how we can set our course further,” stated Radu Rosca, Executive President of Transilvania Investments.
The investment fund has approximately 30% of its portfolio concentrated in banking sector shares and 22% in tourism sector shares.
„This rethinking of the portfolio does not necessarily mean that we will put the tourism portfolio up for sale. We will discuss with consultants and see to what extent we can develop or rebalance the tourism portfolio. In any case, we will look more closely at private equity investments,” Rosca specified.
Over the last year, with the appointment of a new management team and the start of the rebranding process, Transilvania Investments has focused on identifying the potential offered by each of the sectors in which the fund has significant assets, primarily tourism, real estate, financial, and industrial.
The company has intensified its exit procedures from a series of companies to focus on the major projects in which it is involved. Additionally, the first steps have been taken in supporting new projects from innovative sectors, with Transilvania Investments currently positioned as an investor in several tech companies.
Transilvania Investments is currently valued on the stock exchange at approximately 689 million RON.
