Despite the pandemic wave hitting Romania during this period and the restrictive measures taken by the authorities, Romanian hoteliers have prepared discounts of up to 50% for the Black Friday period, aiming to save the autumn season through lower prices.

In an effort to protect their health as much as possible, tourists are now looking for accommodation units to rent in their entirety, especially apartments, guesthouses, and holiday homes that can host small and medium-sized groups, allowing them to spend their vacation only in the company of those close to them. Hotels are also available and can be booked in real-time by quickly selecting the stay period and the number of people.

Additionally, in the context of travel uncertainty, bookings that tourists used to make at least 3-4 weeks in advance have now become last-minute, as close as possible to the departure date.

Travelminit.ro also conducted a study on the top most sought-after autumn destinations in Romania. The top spots are occupied by mountain resorts, especially those in the Prahova Valley, voted for by 29% of the respondents participating in the study. The ranking continues with spa resorts (23%) and major cities (21%), including Bucharest, Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, and Timisoara.
