ANAF is auctioning Hotel Decebal in Baile Herculane, the former Franz Joseph Hotel, built in 1865. The unit, which is currently undergoing restoration, has 4 levels: basement, ground floor, and two floors, and the total land area is 2,651 sqm, of which 805 sqm is vacant land.
The starting price is 5.65 million RON, excluding VAT.
The hotel belongs to the company Microroyal, from Timis, which operates in furniture production, construction, and the hotel industry. The tax authorities are now foreclosing on the building in the Baile Herculane resort to recover part of Microroyal’s 2 million RON debt to the state, according to the most recent data provided by ANAF.
The auction will take place on July 25, at the headquarters of the Administration for Medium Taxpayers established at the Timisoara Regional level.
“In the top , compiled by America Tours between 2010-2011, Hotel Decebal in Hercules Square is ranked fourth, featuring the ghost of a woman captured in a photo by a couple of tourists. A local legend says that under the foundations of the 150-year-old Hotel Decebal, a Roman treasure is hidden, guarded by this ghost to keep treasure hunters away,” claims the local City Hall.
