21.7 Million RON Investment in New Oradea Airport Terminal

On July 18, the Bihor County Council announced the association of companies – UTI Grup and Eldiclau SRL – that will build the second terminal of Oradea International Airport, worth 21.7 million RON, to be completed in 2018.
The contract for the design and execution of the works is to be signed as the appeals filed by two competing associations were rejected.
The winning bid proposes the execution of the work for the sum of 21,796,261.49 RON, the estimated value being 22,251,020 RON. The winners assume the design as well as the execution of the work, the execution term being 12 months.
The project “Construction, expansion and modernization of passenger terminals at Oradea Airport” involves the construction of a building with a total area of 2,925 sqm and the refurbishment of the current Airport terminal, which, after the commissioning of the second terminal, will only process passengers from international departures.
The new terminal will serve domestic arrival and departure flights and international arrivals.
