Hotel Cișmigiu recorded increased revenues

The four-star Cișmigiu Hotel in Bucharest, located near the Old Town Center, saw a 9% increase in revenue in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Occupancy was 77%, with an average room rate of €121, up 7% on last year.

Almost 85% of guests are foreign tourists, attracted by the central location and the city break offer. With 60 suites, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi, underground parking and conference rooms. It also houses the Cervantes Institute and a bookshop.

Hercesa Romania, part of the Spanish Hercesa group, has owned the hotel since 2004, when it invested €15 million to transform the historic building into a modern hotel. The company expects a turnover similar to 2019 of around €1.7 million.

Bucharest currently has an accommodation capacity of 11,000 hotel rooms, being the destination with the most developed hotel infrastructure in the country.
