The airline HiSky will introduce regular flights between Oradea and Bucharest, as well as to London, in addition to charter flights to other destinations.
Mihai Jurca, the City Manager of Oradea, signed the joint venture agreement between the company Air Oradea and the air transport operator HiSky Europe SRL.
“According to the contract, concluded for a 5-year period, HiSky will operate 5 flights per week on the Oradea – Bucharest route and return, and 3 flights per week on the Oradea – London route and return. From Oradea, charter flights will also be operated to 3 destinations that will be publicly announced in the coming period,” announced the Bihor County Council.
The City Manager of Oradea, Mihai Jurca, stated that their €750,000 investment in a 5-year business plan is intended to develop stable flights and support the opening of an operational base in Oradea.
HiSky CEO, Iulian Scorpan, announced the opening of the company’s fourth operational base in Bihor, joining those in Bucharest, Cluj, and Chișinău. Initially, they will operate flights to two destinations, but the Bucharest route will provide access to the company’s entire network.
With a well-established connection system, travelers from Oradea will be able to reach ten other cities in Europe and the USA, including New York in just 12 hours.
The company HiSky will take the necessary steps to reserve flight slots so that operations begin no later than October 2024.
