Last year, Happy Tour Group recorded sales of approximately 50 million EUR, an increase of about 10% compared to 2015, stated Javier Garcia del Valle, the group’s CEO. For this year, the company has budgeted a sales growth of 10-15%.
The growth is due to the progress made by the business travel sector, which represents 70% of the group’s total sales, but also to the increase in domestic tourism, to which the granting of holiday vouchers for private sector employees contributed.
Starting July 1st, every public sector employee will receive a holiday voucher of 1,450 RON, and the Happy Tour CEO expects a doubling of the sales volume with vouchers, as well as a 25% increase in demand for domestic holidays, compared to the volume of 1.4 million EUR in 2016.
The best-selling destination was Spain, followed by Romania, Greece, Turkey, and Italy.
