The Gura Portiței Complex, a stretch of land between the Black Sea and the Golovița liman in the Danube Delta, which operates several villas and cottages, has reopened following a EUR 10 million renovation process. The complex has 145 rooms, a new restaurant with terrace and a conference hall.
Following the investment, the resort added a new restaurant, 80 new rooms and another 50 new bungalows located on the island surrounded by the waters of Lake Golovitsa and a conference area with a capacity of 250 people.
Gura Portiței Resort is partnering with Spark Hospitality, which will operate the resort commercially.
Sat Vacanta Gura Portitei, the company that manages the tourist complex, had a turnover of RON10 million in 2024, according to Finance Ministry data.
The resort is 99.9% controlled by Marian Mihai, public data show. In 2012, the associates of the company Sat Vacanță Gura Portiței decided changes to the company, Piscicola Jurilovca, represented by Gheorghe Negrea and Alexandru Bittner, a close associate of Adrian Năastase, withdrew from the business and transferred the shares to Marian Mihai.
