HoReCa companies will be exempted from paying the specific tax for an additional period of 90 days, announced the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, Ionel Dancă.
“Through the emergency ordinance initiated by the Ministry of Economy, two important regulations were adopted in the HoReCa sector, namely the exemption from paying the specific tax for this field for a period of 90 days, which is added to the previous period of 60 days, the state of emergency period, for which they were exempted from paying the specific tax. The mechanism based on which this exemption will be applied is as follows: this tax is an annual tax owed by economic operators in the hotels, restaurants, cafes area, and from the amount of the annual tax, calculated at 365 days, the 90-day period is subtracted for the economic operators benefiting from this facility, to which the previous 60 days are added,” Dancă explained.
The payment of this tax will be made by October 25, the July 25 deadline being postponed, specified the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery.
He added that another measure in favor of HoReCa companies provides for the exemption of economic agents operating on beaches from paying one of the three installments of the administration fee, and those who had the payment obligation in two installments are exempted from 30% of the amount due.
Economic operators who pay the taxes for the second quarter by July 25 and those who pay the taxes for the third quarter by October 25 will benefit from a 10% bonus on the tax due.
