On May 7, 2020, the Government, at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy, Energy, and the Business Environment, adopted the Decision for the approval of the attestation of certain localities or parts of localities as tourist resorts of national and local interest.
Following the verification of legal criteria fulfillment, at the request of local public administration authorities, the localities of Tasnad (Satu Mare County), Lacu Sarat (Braila County), as well as the Historic Center Tourist Zone – Crisul Repede Corridor (Oradea Municipality, Bihor County) and the Borlova – Muntele Mic Tourist Zone (Turnu Ruieni Commune, Caras-Severin County) were attested as tourist resorts of national interest.
Furthermore, considering the tourism potential, as well as natural and anthropic resources, the localities of Tautii Magheraus (Maramures County), Vama (Satu Mare County), Ocnele Mari (Valcea County), Pestisani (Gorj County), and Jucu (Cluj County) were attested as tourist resorts of local interest.
All localities included in the national or local tourist resorts will benefit from increased scoring in obtaining financing for regional projects.
