German Touristik, part of Memento Group and a former TUI franchise partner, has gone through an extensive rebranding process, becoming, as of July 1, 2025, Vacanza – the first B2B smart cost travel operator in Romania. The company operates through a network of over 600 partner agencies across the country and offers vacation packages in popular summer destinations at competitive prices.
According to CEO Ștefan Leontin Joos, Vacanza introduces a unique business model on the local market, supported by investments in automation, advanced technologies and artificial intelligence. The new system allows real-time comparisons of suppliers’ offers, which helps to maintain favorable prices for customers.
In the first half of 2025, Vacanza saw an 80% increase compared to the same period in 2024, reaching €25 million in sales and more than 40,000 tourists served – almost double the 18,000 in 2024.
The rebranding comes with the launch online platformaimed at individual travelers, who will be able to set up personalized holidays starting from a basic package (flight + accommodation). They can then add options such as hold baggage, preferred seating, transfers (shuttle or VIP), online check-in and optional excursions.
Vacanza benefits from exclusive partnerships with hotels and vacation clubs, which allows preferential rates due to high sales volumes. With a strategy oriented towards digitalization and flexibility, the company aims to become the second tourism brand in terms of notoriety and sales volume in Romania, after Christian Tour.
