Fly One launches direct flights from Chisinau

Fly One airline is launching direct flights from Chisinau International Airport to two European destinations – Bremen, Germany and Turin, Italy.

This complements the airport’s flight schedule with two regular direct routes.

There will be direct flights to Bremen twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday. From July, the frequency will be increased to three flights a week every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Flights to Turin will operate on Thursdays and Sundays, and from May on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Chisinau International Airport ended the month of March with a total traffic of about 340 thousand passengers embarked and disembarked. Thus, there was an increase of 55.5%, which is about 121 thousand passengers more than the same period last year.

The airport officials announce that forecasts for March were exceeded by 151%. In terms of aircraft movements, 2 827 landings and take-offs were recorded. This is an increase of 37.5% compared to March last year.

Destinations with the highest growth in passenger flow were: Istanbul – 14,992 passengers, Sharm el Sheikh – 9,297 passengers, Venice – 7,749, Rome – 7,041, Milan – 5,566 and London – 5,363 passengers.

Also, on new destinations, Chisinau Airport recorded a total of over 50 thousand passengers, which represents 14.79% of the total flow. These include: Istanbul (Sabiha Gökçen Airport) – 15 201 passengers, Memmingen – 3 908 passengers, Budapest – 3 788 passengers, Brussels (Charleroi Airport) – 3 084 passengers and Nürnberg – 2 989 passengers.
