Eximtur Travel Agency: 9% Increase in Turnover

In 2014, the Eximtur travel agency recorded a 9% increase in turnover compared to 2013, reaching 40 million EUR.
63% of the turnover was generated by business travel services and event organization. The vacation and travel division recorded a growth of about 4%, and the incoming division’s share for the company grew sixfold, bringing tourists to Romania from Austria, Slovenia, and the United Kingdom. 
The Eximtur Business division recorded a growth of over 14% in services provided to private companies and public institutions and attracted 70 new clients.
The Eximtur leisure division recorded an overall growth of about 4% in 2014. In the sales structure, foreign travel grew by 6%, and domestic destinations by 4%, against the backdrop of a year deeply marked by elections, which reduced Romanians’ interest in vacations.
At the same time, the agency invested 100,000 EUR in top technology and established a non-stop reservation, assistance, and information service. 
Over 2,000 tourists from Austria, Slovenia, and the United Kingdom visited Romania last year through the agency, which will expand its operations to the German market this year.
Eximtur has 28 agencies in 19 cities, of which 12 are franchises and one online, fly.ro, four business travel centers in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, and Timisoara, and was founded in 1993.
