“The Sovata Hotel records the highest occupancy rate among the three units. We plan to expand the hotel with an additional 110 four-star rooms; we are currently working on the project. We estimate the investment at 25-30 million euros and will commence next year,” Andrei Rusu, General Manager of the Ensana Health Spa Hotels chain in Sovata, told Ziarul Financiar.

In August, the company will finalize the renovation of the hotel’s public spaces, the reception, and the conference rooms. Last year, the hotel completed the renovation of its 168 rooms, an investment totaling 6 million EUR.

Sovata is a resort known for its lakes with chlorinated and sodium waters, which possess therapeutic properties for several conditions. Near Sovata lies the Praid salt mine, referred to by specialists as the “Salt Mine of Europe,” which has also been a site for salt mine therapy since 1960.
