The Government has no intention of canceling holiday vouchers; they will continue to be granted, stated the Minister of Economy, Energy, and Business Environment, Virgil Popescu, at the opening of the Romanian Tourism Fair. He will also oversee the tourism sector during his mandate.
He indicated that he will also analyze the possibility of issuing holiday vouchers for months outside the tourist seasons.
“I will examine the draft ordinance very carefully because we want Romanian tourists to travel during the off-season as well,” Virgil Popescu specified.
He noted that from a personal perspective, as a tourist, infrastructure is the biggest problem for Romanian tourism.
