The development plan, implemented by the South Regional Development Agency, provides for the construction of the “Calea Șiviței” historical road, with a length of approximately 2.2 kilometers, aimed at facilitating access to the Prutul de Jos Biosphere Reserve. At the same time, the project includes the renovation of a wooden bridge and the arrangement of a regional crafts camp. This new facility will have accommodation spaces for 40 people, along with rest and leisure areas. Andrei Chistol, head of the Tourism Department within the Ministry of Culture, emphasized that these investments will boost local economic development and promote the Republic of Moldova as an authentic tourist destination. Văleni village was included in 2023 in the “Best Tourism Villages” program due to the value of its local heritage and its proximity to Lake Beleu.
