€25 Million Investment in the Renovation of the Athenee Palace Hilton Hotel

Ana Hotels has launched a €25 million investment in the capital renovation of the Athenee Palace Hilton hotel in Bucharest.

In its history, the hotel has undergone 3 fundamental renovations: the first in 1937, the second in 1944, and the third in 1993. This year, “Ana Hotels” began the fourth major renovation of the monument building.

The financial capital that Ana Hotels is investing in the rehabilitation and renovation of the Athenee Palace Hilton hotel comes from both its own sources and a loan the company contracted from BRD.

The hotel modernization project is taking place in two stages: the first has already started and includes the renovation of the 132 rooms in the New Wing, built in 1965, while the second targets the rehabilitation of the hotel facade and the rooms in the Old Wing, built in 1914.

Throughout this period, the hotel remains open, offering accommodation services in the wing that is not undergoing rehabilitation and in the public spaces on the ground floor; the restaurants, terrace, and event halls are accessible to clients, having been previously renovated.

Since 1996, the hotel has been operated, based on a management contract, by the international group “Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc.”
