From October 27, 2025, Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport will resume direct flights to Tel Aviv, operated by Wizz Air, with three weekly frequencies – Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Tel Aviv, a UNESCO destination and Israel’s cultural hub, combines historic heritage with modern infrastructure, making it attractive for both tourism and business travelers.
Airport representatives emphasize the strategic importance of the route for Transylvania’s connectivity, given the high passenger demand and the economic role of international connections. According to Wizz Air’s management, the resumption of flights strengthens the partnership with the Cluj airport and diversifies travel options in the region.
Currently, Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport provides regular connections to around 50 destinations in almost 20 countries, plus seasonal charter flights.
