Danubius Health Spa Resorts announces the creation of Ensana – a new brand of spa hotels specializing in health through the use of natural resources and modern medical expertise. The Ensana group portfolio includes Sovata Ensana Health Spa Hotels, which announces the opening in the spring of 2020 of a 3-star hotel, following an investment of over 8 million EUR.
Danubius Health Spa Resorts brings together 26 hotels with medical & Spa competencies under the umbrella of Europe’s largest medical spa operator – Ensana.
The hotel group, which owns properties in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, has the primary objective of highlighting the healing power of local natural resources alongside specialized medical knowledge.
The Ensana group was created as a result of the massive growth that health and wellness tourism has experienced globally. According to a Global Wellness Institute study, this is a market worth 580 billion EUR, and which is estimated to grow to 834 billion EUR by 2022.
Sovata Ensana Health Spa Hotels is part of the Ensana group portfolio. Along with the rebranding of the international hotel group, the Sovata cluster announces the opening in the spring of 2020 of Ursina Ensana Health Spa Hotel, a 3-star hotel with 144 rooms, its own treatment and spa base, an investment of over 8 million EUR.
