CNAB Sends 800 Employees into Technical Unemployment

The Board of Directors of the Bucharest Airports National Company S.A. (CNAB) approved, in the meeting on June 22, the implementation of the technical unemployment measure starting July 1, 2021, for a period of 2 months.

The decision was made considering CNAB’s financial situation and the results for the first 5 months of 2021.

800 employees, out of a total of 1,370 active ones, will enter technical unemployment in turns, most of them for a period of four weeks and some for two weeks. The technical unemployment measure will be implemented such that the impact on passengers is insignificant.

According to the company, currently, passenger air traffic, although increasing, stands at 40% compared to the 2019 level.
