Bulgarian State Agency for Tourism Recommends Reclassification of Accommodation Units

The Bulgarian State Agency for Tourism could propose amendments regarding the classification of accommodation units starting this month.

According to the project, hotel-style apartments will be classified as hostels, while holiday homes in spa and golf center areas will receive ratings between 1 and 3 stars.

The new regulations will specify the characteristics of a room, an apartment, a building, or a studio.

The new initiative will also target business hotels, which will be required to have internet access in every room, and spa hotels, which must specify the ingredients of the cosmetic products they use.
