Bucharest to be promoted as a city break destination

The Municipality of Bucharest is set to enter into a protocol with the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism, aimed at jointly promoting Bucharest as a city break destination.

The protocol concerns the joint funding and implementation of public interest actions and projects in the field of tourism, improving the image and increasing the visibility of Romania as a tourist destination by promoting the national tourism brand and, implicitly, the Municipality of Bucharest as a city break tourist destination.

Ministry and municipal representatives will collaborate to establish mutual promotion actions. Additionally, the ministry will grant free rights to use the trademarks “România, exploraţi Grădina Carpaţilor” and “Romania, explore the Carpathian garden,” to promote our country as a tourist destination and for advertising purposes.

The ministry will also grant the Bucharest municipality the right to use audiovisual productions in Romanian and other languages, covering categories such as activities and adventure, city breaks, and rural tourism.

The protocol is concluded for one year, with the possibility of extension via an addendum.
