Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport ranked 4th in the European top of airports that recorded the highest air traffic growth in 2014, in the category between 5 and 10 million passengers.
The top positions were held by Basel, Lanzarote (Canary Islands), and Naples airports, while Porto Airport ranked 5th. The ranking was compiled by Airports Council International-Europe.
Last year, the two airports of the capital – Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport and Bucharest Baneasa – Aurel Vlaicu International Airport – recorded a record number of 8,321,858 passengers and 102,048 aircraft movements.
