Bucharest Airports: 15.5% Passenger Traffic Growth in Q1

In the first three months of this year, the two airports in the Capital recorded a 15.5% increase in passenger traffic compared to the same period in 2014, reaching 1,809,228 passengers, announced the Bucharest National Airports Company (CNAB).
During the analyzed period, CNAB recorded 23,961 aircraft movements, an increase of 12.6% compared to the first three months of 2014.
Of the total, Henri Coanda International Airport recorded 1,808,332 passengers and 19,411 aircraft movements.
The evolution of the number of passengers at CNAB’s two airports significantly outpaces the general trend recorded at the European level.
Last year, Henri Coanda Bucharest International Airport and Bucharest Baneasa-Aurel Vlaicu International Airport were transited by 8,321,858 passengers, and the number of aircraft movements amounted to 102,048.
Currently, 31 airlines operate at Henri Coanda Bucharest International Airport, transporting passengers to 70 destinations.
