The InterContinental Athénée Palace Hotel Athénée Palace Bucharest reaffirms its connection with the cultural life of the capital through a series of initiatives dedicated to the George Enescu International Festival, an event for which it is an official partner.
In 2025, when the hotel celebrates its 111th anniversary, it will host international artists and offer special experiences for festival participants and guests:
- JORJ restaurant and terrace – menus inspired by the world of classical music, with a 10% discount for ticket holders on the day of the concert;
- The English Bar – three new cocktails, inspired by recipes from the early 20th century, when George Enescu used to hold composition competitions with his own funds;
- The hotel’s spa – relaxing treatments designed specifically for musicians’ needs.
The festival’s official opening conference was held in the hotel’s historic landmark Le Diplomate. General Manager Nicolaas Houwert emphasized that this collaboration “has a special significance as an opportunity to celebrate both Romania’s cultural heritage and the over a century-long tradition of Athénée Palace”.
