ANSVSA inspectors operating within the 2019 Summer Season Command applied, between July 1-7, fines totaling 196,000 RON, following inspections carried out at units on the seaside.
The ANSVSA inspections targeted units located in the seven areas of tourist interest – Navodari, Mamaia Nord, Mamaia Centru, Mamaia Sud, Eforie, Costinesti, and Mangalia.
A total of 249 units were checked, specifically 107 restaurants, 5 pizzerias, 5 canteens, 31 fast-food units, 11 brasseries, 20 buffet-type units, 2 bistro-type units, 16 bars, 1 snack bar, 1 guesthouse, 21 grocery stores, 15 confectionery/pastry laboratories, 3 confectioneries/pastries, 3 trailers, 2 ice cream stands, 1 supermarket, 1 frozen products unit, 1 butcher shop, 2 food warehouses, and 1 utility vehicle.
Following the inspections, deficiencies were found regarding the improper handling of food products, the direct sale of food products to the final consumer in spaces not approved by sanitary-veterinary authorities, improper hygiene conditions in production areas, improper labeling and packaging of food products, and improper storage of food products.
