ANAT appeals to the Government and requests support in identifying an alternative method for analyzing the epidemiological situation of the countries where Romanian citizens prefer to travel, according to a statement from the association.

In this regard, a fixed, predefined index can be established, below which people returning from vacation from such a destination would no longer be required to enter quarantine.

“Additionally, protocols can be established to allow PCR tests or rapid antigen tests to be performed at the airport by people returning from countries with an index above the one established at the national level, upon entry into Romania, with exemption from quarantine for people who have a negative test result.”
