ANAT: Holiday vouchers worth EUR 230 million issued in the first nine months

The National Association of Travel Agencies, ANAT, announced that the value of holiday vouchers issued in the first nine months of this year reached EUR 230 million, an amount eight times higher than last year, 2018 being the year in which vouchers granted to public sector employees boosted all segments of domestic tourism.
Thus, the seaside, mountains, spa areas, and the Danube Delta recorded increases of up to 25% this year compared to the previous year, according to ANAT.
Holiday vouchers encouraged Romanians to travel and supported the Romanian seaside during rainy months and at the end of the season, or tourist areas less visited in previous years, stated ANAT President, Nicolae Demetriade.
